Each page of Girl Genius is drawn in pencil on heavy art paper, then scanned, digitally cleaned (small smudges or errant pencil lines are removed) and sent off to be digitally colored. The scan shown in this listing has not had its levels adjusted and shows all the smudges and errant pencil lines one might expect in an original pencil drawing.
